Mattie Wyatt Obituary
She was preceded in death by her parents, Abraham and Ludi Bell Thomas; her husband, William H. Wyatt Sr. and son, William Wyatt Jr., brother, Abraham Thomas Jr.
She is survived by her son, Albert Wyatt, daughter and caregiver,Lisa Wyatt; bonus son, Bruce Wiggins, loving sister and caregiver, Annie Thomas; sisters, Faye Perry, Mary Barlow, Leola Thomas and Doris Hayes, all of Haynesville, AL; grandchildren, Kamisha, KiJuan(Kellee),Kia and Kwan Wyatt; great grandchildren, KiJuan Jr., Kharon, Kyrie and Khamir and a host of numerous nieces and nephews.
Mattie was retired from Virginia Extension Cooperation after 25 years of service. She was an active member of First Baptist Church East End as she was a Church Nurse for many years along with Drama Ministry, Youth Ministry and League of Christian Women. She was an active community member engaged in several organizations including: Beau Brummel Wives, Kappa Wives, and Ladies Auxiliary of the Letter Carriers Association.
A viewing for the public will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 12-6pm at Ronald C. Perkins Funeral Home, 251 W. Queen Street, Hampton, VA 23669. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Noon at Ronald C. Perkins Funeral Home, followed by Interment at Hampton Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
