She was preceded in death by her father, Bobbie J. Spears; her mother, Pauline Cummings Spears; and her sister and brother-in-law, Deborah K. and Robin Watlet.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Lonnie F. Elrod Jr. of Hampton; son, Steven W. Browning and his girlfriend, Nicole Grose of Richmond; son, Kyle T. Elrod of Hampton; sister, Brenda Dunevant and her husband, Jimmy of Urbanna; brother, Bobby J. Lonnie Jr, Stevie, Kyle, Linda, Lonnie and family

We were so sorry to hear about Paula. My son Michael was on Lonnie Sr's baseball team and we had the pleasure of meeting Paula. We really didn't know her that well but after reading all the comments that have been written about her in this guest book she was one special lady and I know that she will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family at this time.

To the Elrod family,
Paula was one in a million. Whenever I needed her assistance to work on my computer at West, she was there. We joked, we laughed, we had serious discussions, mostly about each others spouses and children. She loved those dogs. She was a caring person and always had a smile for me. When I recently went back to West, I saw her and said, Oh, no, Paula, I thought you would never cut your hair, but I told her that it was beautiful and that I loved it. We laughed and we talked because I had not been there in over 2 years. My prayers are with you Lonnie Jr, and your two precious sons. Lean on the Lord and he will bring you through. Earth has no sorrow that heaven can not heal. The joy of the Lord is your strength, so lean on him for your strength. I will truly miss her, but now God has another beautiful flower in heaven. Be blessed and Trust in the Lord.

Lonnie Jr., Stevie, and Kyle

There are not enough words to describe how my heart is breaking for each of you! I am still in shock as I am sure you are. No one or nothing can take away the many memories of Paula and what she meant to you and to all of us! She is one of the few people that trully showed unconditional love to Eric and accepted his "vibrant" personality and I will always be thankful for that and the lifetime impression she put on him (and me!) We are here for you guys! You are and will continue to be in my every thought and prayer!
