Sean Loer Obituary

Sean Timothy Loer, 38, formerly of Yorktown and Hartfield VA, died at home Dec. 1, 2020 in Englewood FL.

He was born Sept. 3, 1982, the second child of Charles and Lois Loer. Sean spoke fondly of his childhood and was deeply cherished by his family. He was a people person who loved making new friends. Sean wrote poetry, created music, and enjoyed the outdoors. He was an Army veteran.

Preceding him in death is his father Charles Loer. Sean is survived by his mother Lois Loer, brother Jared Loer, sister Sarah Roy, brother-in-law Kyle Roy, and nephews Roman, Rocco, and Ryu Roy.

Sean will be interred in a private family ceremony. We have lost a son, a brother, an uncle, and a friend. His big heart, kindness, generosity, and terrific sense of humor will be greatly missed.

I am deeply sorry to hear of Sean's passing.
He was a beautiful soul who shared his loving spirit through words, music, and works.
He was young & healthy. What happened?

I knew Sean better than anyone while he was here in Tucson. We met in the VA Hospital here, and were instant Best Friends. We called each other Brother, and meant it. We always said "I love you" when saying goodbye, whether on the phone, or in person, and meant that also. A more humble soul I have never known. I'm completely devastated and shattered to my core. I've been married in Denmark, stranded in Bolivia, hopped freight trains in Texas, been to a couple of Rodeos, and, Oh yeah, had the Honor of knowing and being part of Sean Loer's life. A man could not possibly ask for a more complete life. I can't stop crying right now. I was calling him, and couldn't understand why he wasn't calling me back. This is not the"why" that I was looking for. My Heart truly goes to Sean's family. Know that he is not dead. He passed through the final door, and is laughing, singing and dancing with The Father. Nobody can take that away. I love you and miss you, my Best Friend, my Brother for life. I look forward to seeing you again.

I cannot express the deep sadness I feel in Sean’s passing. He was a beautiful soul I had the privilege to get to know during our early teenage years. I have great memories of our time together, and in keeping touch over the years. I know one day we will meet again. Much love to him, and his family.

Sean was someone you could converse with, truly, have an interaction where you didn't agree with one another, but still enjoy one another's company. That says a lot about a person. He reflected the love his family raised him with in the way he interacted with everyone. I was happy to have him as a friend.
