David Bourne Obituary
He was born on May 19, 1961, in Charlottesville, VA. He was the beloved son of the late Walter L. Bourne. He is survived by his mother, Elden T. Bourne of Troy, VA.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He was retired from the University of Virginia Hospital for numerous years. He was employed by Walmart in Zions Crossroads, VA for a short period of time. He was employed with RMC Events in Charlottesville, VA until his passing. He was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church in Troy, VA since he was a young child. He was a volunteer Firefighter for the Palmyra Volunteer Fire Department for 40 years.
He enjoyed cooking, gardening, flowers, and music. He had been his mother's caregiver for several years.
His funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Beaverdam Baptist Church, 1794 Richmond Road, Troy, Virginia. A visitation will be held one hour prior, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The family invites friends and family to join them in a meal immediately after services in the social hall of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.
