Jack Clyde Howey

Jack Clyde Howey, 73, of Brightwood, Va., passed away on October 25, 2015, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.He was born on October 2, 1942, in Topeka, Kansas, to the late Wilbur Clyde Howey and Hazel Lucille Coffee Howey.He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Howey of Brightwood; two daughters, Pam Weakley and husband, Michael of Reva, and Lisa Franco and husband, Michael of Charlottesville; one son, Michael Howey and wife, Kathy of Madison; grandchildren, Josh Howey and wife, Elizabeth, Justin Weakley and friend, Megan Clark, Logan Howey, Jordan Franco, and Drew Franco; and one great-grandchild, Luke Howey.He retired from Seaboard/Cargill, Inc. after 33 years as a quality manager. His favorite hobbies were woodworking, yardwork, golfing and coaching baseball.A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel, interment at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Madison. Jeannie Light conducted the service.Visitation was held Tuesday evening, October 27, 2015, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.Donations may be made to American Heart Association, c/o Nancy C.
