Thomas Ervin Paul

Ervin Paul Thomas, 72, of Esmont, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018, at his residence. He was born on November 26, 1945, to the late Gaines Monroe Thomas and Mary Virginia (Hall) Thomas. Ervin retired from the City of Charlottesville after over 35 years of service. He enjoyed playing the lottery and driving the back roads, but especially spending time with his family. Survivors include two children, Jason Thomas and wife, Allison, of Esmont, and Kacy Weaver and husband, George, of Mechanicsville; nine grandchildren, Kaileigh, Tilleigh, Sierra, Eli, and Evan Weaver, and Sierra, Dustin, Cody, and Tyler Thomas; 15 siblings; his former wife and mother of his children, Gloria Tuthill; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members, and friends. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 6, 2018, at the Alberene Cemetery by Pastor Van Crawford. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Thursday evening, July 5, 2018, at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home.
