William Pender Obituary
Bill was born in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, on August 14, 1934, to the late William Edward and Semone Marie Pender.
Bill was a dedicated employee of the Federal Government for over 30 years. He had long since retired and was enjoying life with his family and friends. He had a quick wit and a big smile for everyone he met. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge 389 here in Charlottesville, and proudly served in the U.S. Armed forces.
He will be greatly missed.
Bill leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 60 years, Jane Pender; their son, Jim and his wife, Kathleen. Also, a brother, Donald Pender, along with many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 3 pm on Thursday April 13, 2023, at Holly Memorial Gardens, 3521 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
If you wish to make a donation in Bill's honor, the family kindly asks you to consider donating to the Alzheimer's Association to help in the fight against Alzheimer's and Dementia, or any Local Animal Charity.

My sincere condolences Jane and Jimmy. It was always so fun to run into Bill. He would smile from ear to ear and was always so warm and welcoming. Much love to you at this time! What a special man!

A great guy. I worked with him as an attorney representing clients with tax issues, and he was always willing to try to achieve the best results for both sides. He was a great resource. I know he always enjoyed his trips to OBX with Jane. Best.

So sorry for y´all´s loss. Bill was a customer of my father´s... dad owned Rio Road Superette . Always had that smile and laugh when Bill came by . Bill made this world a betting place .
