William Warner Wood, 55, of Albemarle County died on April 19, 2017, at his home. The son of David J. Wood Jr. and Helen "Mickie" Wood of Charlottesville, he is also survived by his wife, Annamaria Tironi Wood; her sister, Emma and husband, Michael Cummings; his sisters, Beverly Hereford and husband, Frank, Peggy McConnell, Colston Wood-Hanshaw and husband, Whitt; his brother, David J. Wood III and his wife, Tracey, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Warner attended St. Anne's Belfield School and graduated from Western Albemarle High School and was a graduate of the Chapman's School of Seamanship in Stuart, Florida. He spent many happy hours sailing in the Chesapeake Bay, the Caribbean and Virgin Island waters with family and friends. He was loved by his many friends and family for his wonderful sense of humor and kindness to others. He loved the mountains and lands of Virginia and was never happier than when he was camping or sailing with his Anna and their two labs, Holly and Isabelle. He was an avid reader. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m., on Friday April 28, 2017, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Ivy, Va.
