AGE: 76 • Dingmans Ferry, PA
Douglas Anthony Delgado, 76, of Dingmans Ferry, PA and formerly of Rockaway Borough, NJ for 30 years, passed away at home Tuesday, August 23, 2011. He was co-owner of Hawthorne Paint Co., Hawthorne, NJ and enjoyed golfing, coin collecting and classical music. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served from 1957 to 1959. The Son of the late Raymond Vincent and Providence (Borges) Delgado he was born on October 28, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY. He was married to Nancy (Alvarado) Delgado on June 9, 1962 in Brooklyn, NY.
Survivors include his wife, 5 children; Anne Sharland of Morristown, NJ, Richard Delgado of Myrtle Beach, SC, Roslyn Hays of Randolph, NJ, Mildred Koroly of Dingmans Ferry, PA and Steven Delgado of Dover, NJ; 3 siblings Mildred Snyder of Bradington, FL, Ramona Hernandez of Westbury, NY and Noah Delgado of Indian Springs, AZ; and 2 Granddaughters.
Friends may call at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W. Harford St., Milford, PA on Friday, August 26, 2011 from 2 to 4 PM. Funeral Services will take place at Stroyan Funeral Home on Friday, August 26,2011 at 4 PM with the Rev. Paul Mullen officiating. Interment will take place at Indian Town Gap National Cemetery Annville, PA at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Rd. S.W., Liburn, GA 30047 and the family requests you to thank a veteran for his or her service to our country.

I went to school with Anne, and for some reason I was thinking about her today and yesterday, even though I haven't seen her for quite a few years. I did a google search and found this notice. My Uncle Doug was a very funny man. Always brightend up a room.The family trailblazer in every aspect of life. Someone whose lead anyone would want to follow. Rest In Peace Uncle Douglas.
