Dolores Stroderd Obituary
Eunice - ~ A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Dolores Ann deRosier Stroderd at 11:00 am on Friday, January 19, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Msgr. Romero Celebrant.
Dolores passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at The Fountains in Melbourne, FL at the age of 82. Dolores a native of Eunice who lived in Seattle, Lake Charles and Forest Hill was known by many as "DeeDee" and "Ticky". She retired from Boeing.
She is survived by her four children, Kenneth Louis Stroderd of Lafayette, Wendall Webster Stroderd and wife, Tracy K. of Palm Bay, FL, Mary Katherine S. Richard of Melbourne, FL and Roseanne Claire S. Holton of Forest Hill; two brothers, John F. deRosier and wife, Leigh of Lake Charles and Robert deRosier and wife, Claudia of North Carolina; two sisters, Madeline Elaine deRosier of Seattle, WA and Helena deRosier Head of Lake Charles; eleven grandchildren, Rosemary Gartman, Joshua "Bubba" Gartman, Wendy Kaye Gartman Hardman, Danielle Gartman Wallace, Kenny Stroderd, Andrea Stroderd David, Nicole Blake Edgett, Brandon Howard, Robert Blake, Sean Blake, Taylor Blake Sokol; twenty-one great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Dolores was preceded in death by her son, Maury Daniel "Danny" Stroderd; parents, Paul and Helen Miller deRosier; two brothers, Paul Bernard deRosier and Francois Joseph deRosier; and two grandchildren, Alicia Stroderd and Jamie Gartman.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, January 18th from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Friday, January 19th from 8:00 am until time of services.
