Bradley Neugent Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Bradley Dean Neugent on October 21st, 2023. Born to Dean and Floydell Neugent in Lubbock, Texas, Brad was a graduate of Texas Tech University, and was Co-owner of Neugent & Helbing Inc for nearly 40 years.

The world lost a husband, a father, a brother, an uncle, a grandfather, and the best friend to many. We are deeply saddened and heartbroken. Brad lived his life to the fullest. As a result, he did not have many selfies. Instead, he has countless group photos celebrating life's many events. Weddings, graduations, vacations, birthdays, recitals, orchestra concerts, holidays, retirements, - you name it. He always took the opportunity to celebrate your achievements and he made it a point to be present in your life. He lived life by living it with others. He found joy in breaking bread with friends and making new ones everywhere he went. He could be your biggest debater and challenger, while also being your biggest cheerleader. His friendships span states, generations, airwaves, and decades. He was not shy. To say he occupied space in your life meant you were lucky but, like his Mom, you were not in a very exclusive club. Despite this, he still managed to bring out the spark in each one of us, filling the room with boisterous laughter and wit. Your cup would runneth over.

He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved Jesus and treasured time with his bible study group. He loved his dogs. He loved Golf. He loved to travel. He made us smile.

The Family has lost a titan.

Brad was preceded in death by his parents Dean and Floydell, his sister Terry, and his brother-in-law Sammy. He leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Stephanie; his stepsons Jeff and Jason; Daughters in law Julie and Shannon; brother and sisters, Chris, Melanie, and Michelle; his in-loves Cris, Leslie, Cindy, Linda, Tim, and Scott; Grandkids Joshua, Jaclyn, Jay and Jaxon; Nephews and Nieces Denay, Ashley, Chase, Gia, Ryan, J.J., Cameron, Nolan, Jamie, Kelly, Drew, Joseph and Marie; Grand nephews and nieces Isa, Dean, Alex, Kaia, and Zoey; and fur babies Milo and Buddy.

Dearest Brad Neugent.. Thank you for so many wonderful memories . I met you in 1982 when I was still in college as a result of Porsche and Associates hiring me for an Internship for college credits . You taught me so much about the appraisal industry and were the reason I pursued my Real Estate Career in New Construction sales which I have enjoyed with success for 30 years ..Thank you Brad . Many other special memories also Brad .. You took me to my first Musical in Dallas , The King and I with Yul Brynnerin the lead role . I still have the Paddington Bears you bought me. You took me to the Mansion on Turtle Creek and made me feel like a queen on my birthday. What special memories I will Cherish forever. Our friendship throughout the years meant so much to me . Your assistance with appraisals and your knowledge was so appreciated when needed. What a Loving Husband you were to your beautiful wife Stephanie and what a great person you were to your extended family and so very many dear friends . Brad you made an impact on so many people and you will be missed and memories cherished. Forever in our Hearts. Lisa McClure Tate

Joy and I left Dallas 22 years years ago so my interactions with Brad have been non-existant since. However, we played alot of golf at Prestonwood in the nineties. A truly nice man and gentleman. I'm sure he will truly missed. God bless.

Brad Neugent was the little brother of Terry who I met in 4th grade! Because Terry and I were friends for many years, Brad was always around in one way or another! Brad and I became friends on Facebook so I was able to keep up with what he was up to! Rest easy, Brad! You are surely loved!!

I am so sorry at the loss of a man I never met. My thoughts are with those who knew him best. As someone who just bantered with him about politics, he was a hell of a fighter. You were all lucky to have him. Peace.

I met Brad in 10th grade biology class at Coronado High School. We were lab partners, and that remained our connection until graduation. We did not stay in touch, but, several years later he met my husband who is also a real estate appraiser, and they figured out that I was their common denominator. About 3 years ago, Brad and I started playing Words with Friends. He would usually beat me. I was playing a game with him shortly before he died, and he was literally a hundred points ahead of me. I sent him a message through the app telling him he needed to cut me some slack because I had just had gallbladder surgery. He would not, but his comments made me laugh. I think I won the next game. At any rate, I was devastated to hear of his passing, and I pray for his family that they will find peace.
