I remember Ruth when she worked at the Southbury Community Thrift Shop. She was a willing and able worker and Shirley and Doriie appreciated her effort.

Ruth was my mentor for my tenure as president of the
Lillinonah Audubon Society. She was so kind and helpful
and when the Chapter could not make payments for the
insurance fees as required, she understood that it was time
to close the Chapter and refer all members to join other
CT Chapters.
I am so grateful that I was able to take her to lunch a few
days before her 100th birthday and the staff and other
diners at L Restaurant in Middlebury were so delighted
to hear of her "coming soon" birthday.

I will miss her. She was a warm, witty and genteel lady.

In Loving Kindness, Judith
