He is truly missed. A wonderful doctor who really cared about his patients. He is the only one who figured out the problem I had with my hand and cured it.

I am now just learning of Dr Rodda passing- he operated on me 48 years ago and visited me in the hospitol for almost six months.....fast forward two decades later and we reunited at the Four Seasons hotel in Paris with his wife and several times at the Greenwich hyatt where they would spend weekends - he was the Greenwich version of Marcus Welby !!!!!

I was Tom's flight instructor forty years ago in his new Mooney, N231GR. He was a delightful guy - friendly, intelligent, generous, a fine pilot and student (one of my best). He gifted me his place in Antigua for a honeymoon and flew me to Georgia to start my Appalachian Trail hike. We had deep and wide-ranging discussions - not just of flying, but civics, history, you name it. So sad to hear of his passing, and my belated condolences to his family. The world has lost a rare shining star that gave far more than he ever took.

I always felt safe, knowing that my family members were in Dr Rodda's care. He was brilliant, gifted and compassionate. After he was part of the dream team that performed surgery on my husband's neck, he gave me his home phone number, if we had a problem. Thankfully, we didn't, and I did not need to interrupt his personal time, but he sincerely offered.
I went to school with Eugene. Please accept my loving condolences on your loss. It is a loss that is widely felt.

My Dad, Steve Derkash, loved "Tommy Rodda". I think one of the reasons I became an orthopedist was because of my Dad praising "Tommy Rodda". I am truly sorry, and you should be real proud.

Our family sends you our sincere condolences in the loss of Dr. Rodda. He was the most talented and kindest doctor we have ever known. He operated on my husband most successfully four times. I just want to share this very touching story I shared with Dr. Rodda before we moved from Greenwich to VA. My mother was a poor widow with 4 small children. She fell and needed delicate knee surgery. Dr. Rodda had just started his practice in Greenwich and took on the task. We had no money so when my Danish mom went for follow up visits with the doctor, she baked him apple pies in lieu of payments which he happily accepted. God Bless you Dr. Rodda and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You were an angel here on Earth.

My love and condolences go out to the entire Rodda family. I called your father the "Smurf" b/c upon waking up from surgery a bit delirious , he had on his blue surgical cap and his ears were pushed a bit out . Hence the nickname for years.....He was so dear and a close colleague of my late father. Beatrice Doering Shea
