Emily & Joe - When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. I hope you are able to treasure the time you shared with Scott. Emily - treasure the fact that Scott loved you and will continue to. Joe - Scott watched you grow up from a toddler, who could barely walk, to the fine young man you are today. I have never seen a father more proud to watch his son perform. Treasure these memories. There is a quote that I feel is very fitting. "You don't get over it, you just get through it. You don't get by it, because you can't get around it. It doesn't 'get better'; it just gets different."

Scott was always a great friend. We had a lot of laughs in show choir and musicals in high school. I got to see Scott again last year when I taught Joe at WCMS. Scott's great humor definitely rubbed off on Joe, who was a great kid :) I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

I left this on Scott's Facebook page, but it seemed apropriate to also include it here...
I am so sorry for the pain felt by Scott's loved ones. His passing is extra tough because his spirit was so joyful. He ingrained himself in the lives of all that he encountered.... simply because his kindness was pure & he brought joy wherever he went.
May you rest in peace, my friend, we are grateful that you were a part of our lives! There is an extra special place in heaven for guys like you! Cowboy boots "clickitty-clack" just as joyfully in heaven as they do here on earth..probably,even more so...I'm guessing:)
My heart goes out to Scott's family....
Scotty, I remember soooo well a song that we sang in chorus. I never could have imagined, then, that i would be posting it on your page posthumously, for them. I can imagine that you would've wanted them to hold this in their hearts today.
Old Irish Blessing
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Scott Mcafee- you left a legacy of Love & Happiness- may you rest in peace...
