John KELLIS Obituary


News Death Notice

KELLIS, John C. "Jack" 81, of Hillsboro, died Monday October 29, 2012 in his home. Born in Springboro, he was married to the love of his life, Annalyle (Green) Kellis for 44 years until her death on October 17, 1996. They owned and operated Jack's Friendly Service/Jack's Mobil, from 1953 to 1984 in Germantown. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Franklin and then a member of the First Baptist Church in Hillsboro. He graduated from Franklin High School class of 1949. He served in the U. S. Air Force in Europe during the Korean War. He is survived by sons, John K. (Andie) of Pulaski,VA; and Keith of Hillsboro; daughter Cheryl (Jeff) Brandenburg of Germantown; grandson John C. (Megan) Kellis of Murfreesboro, TN; granddaughters Misty (Steve) McGarry of Roanoke, VA; Jessica (Kevin) Steiner of Springboro; great grandchildren Matthew, Conner, and Maddison McGarry; Jenna and Jake Steiner, and Zoey Kellis. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, Carey and Letha (Clark) Kellis, brother Dale Kellis, sisters Doris Countryman and Mary Lou Morgan. A service to celebrate his life will be held at First Baptist Church 127 S. West St. Hillsboro on Friday November 2, 2012 at 7pm with visitation from 6:30 until the service time. Also, Services will be Saturday November 3, 2012 at 1pm at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd St. The services will be officiated by Todd Toole, Josh McFarland, and John Christian Kellis. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am until the time of the service. Please visit www.anderson-fh.com to send an on line condolence.
