News Death Notice
HULL JR., Mario Orlando (Favors) age 15 of Dayton was born November 18, 1993 went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Wednesday October 21, 2009 at Children's Medical Center. Mario was a freshman at Miamisburg High School, where he was an active football player. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alva and Darrell Favors; paternal grandmother, Claudia P. Murphy; paternal great- grandfather, Robert Earl Grimes Sr.; maternal great-grandmothers, Ruth Lee and Dorothy Favors and a cousin, Kei'Ala Murphy. He leaves to forever cherish his memory; his mother, Dawn Favors-Hull; father, Mario O. Hull Sr.; (2) sisters, Alva Dipanda and Makayla Hull; (1) brother, Richard Dipanda; grandparents, Bryant (Nancy) Murphy; great-grandfather, Albert Lee; special aunt, Harriet Person; (1) great aunt, Donna (Chuck) Grier; (1) aunt, Kaunda Murphy; great uncle, Al-Dino Baber; (4) uncles, Darrell I. Favors Jr., Castello Favors Sr., Ralph Anthony Jr. and Anthony Murphy; (5) cousins, Castello Jr., Castella, KaVonte' Akhiron, and Ralph III; god-mother, Faye R. Miliner; (1) god-sister, Corrine Jackson Sanford; best friends, Sadat Mathis and Asante Hill; special grandmother, Pam Murphy; special aunts, Tenia "T.T" Lee, Keta Miliner, Dale Allen, Auntie "Duke" and Sheretta Hill; special great- aunts, Michelle "She-She" Lee and Helen Jackson and a host of other relatives and friends. Mario "Smoosh" was a loving and caring young man that touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He will be greatly missed. Funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. MONDAY, October 26, 2009 at AGAPE BIBLE FELLOWSHIP CHURCH, 2560 N. Main St., with Pastor John Maze, officiating. Interment will be held at West Memory Gardens. Viewing will be held 7-9 P.M. SUNDAY, October 25, 2009 at the Church. Arrangements entrusted to Thomas Funeral Home, 4520 Salem Ave. A memorial fund has been established for Mario O. Hull Jr. Donations can be made at any Wright-Patt Credit Union. On line condolences may also be sent to the family at www.thomasfunerals.com

My heart still aches for the family of Mario. This has to be the hardest thing a Mother will ever have to do in her life. I pray for you daily.
I pray for all the teens that were touched by Mario, he obviously had many friends. Even though my kids only knew him for a couple months, they were both touched by his friendship and are hurting at this time.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dawn you dont know me. I was actually on FB and seen about this horrible event. I am a parent and I needed to come and say I am praying for you. and that God will see you thru this. We are all here and when there is the loss of a child especially a great child as i am hearing from all my nieces and nephew, its a loss from the whole community and we have to pull together and support one another. We all our a great big family. When you need to cry you do that dont hold it in its tears of love, memories and all. But you also laugh because I know that his life was your joy...

Mario was friends with both my children, Bobby and Brittany and would come up to our house and shoot hoops or just hang out. He was such a good young man, you raised a very respectful child. Mario was a fine young man and I'm Ok with the knowledge he is now in the presence of our LORD & SAVIOR.

I had the honor of working with Mario in 6th grade at Neff Elementary School. He was truly a wonderful young man who brightened my world every day. His big smile and his kind way brought joy to everyone that knew him. Mario will forever live in our hearts.

There are no words of comfort that I can give you to ease your pain but no that he is in a much better place with his Grandma and Grandpa Favors. I still picture little Mario when he was a baby and we lived next door on Emerson and he would always run over my house with his bow-legged self. Those are the moments that I will cherish forever. Only living near Mario 2 months has made my childrens life and their friends amazing. There is never a dull moment with Mario. Dear Family,
Although we have never met, my son Kevin Hill was a friend of Mario's. Kevin spoke very highly of him. Kevin plays football at Miamisburg. I picked Kevin up from school Wednesday, and found him in tears from grief and disbelief. The entire football team was out in front of the school, crying and hugging one another. Mario was loved by all, from what I have been told. I never met your son, but through my sons memories of Mario, I feel as if I will always know him. My prayers are with you and your family and my heart goes out to you as well.
