I knew Greg from our shared experience in Vietnam in 1965 - 1966. He was one-of-a-kind. We flew many missions together as a crew. He was a Gunner and I was a Crew Chief and on the day I got shot (January 29, 1966) he carried me into the Aid Station at Bong Son Special Forces Camp. On a very narrow barbed wire path we encountered a camera man trying to load his camera blocking our path and Greg shoved him in the wire. He never said a word to the guy and the guy never said a word back! I will always remember that incident and that Greg was extremely loyal to his friends. My heart goes out to his wife Jane and to his family. I always remember Greg at our Unit Reunions and I'll miss him.
