Bitonti, Samuel

Age 88 of Dayton, OH passed away peacefully on September 25, 2024 at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton. Born in Dayton, OH and proud graduate of Chaminade High School, class of 1955, Sam was known for his talent as a trumpet player who never knew a stranger, he had a great sense of humor and enjoyed watching Ohio State football. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Colette (Rudy) Bitonti, his son, Steve (Tracey) Bitonti, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan (Henderson) Bitonti, and son, Michael Bitonti. Visitation will be held Wed., Oct. 2, 2024, from 9:00-10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 411 E. 2nd St., Dayton, OH, Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton OH 45420. Serving the family is Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave. Dayton.
