News Death Notice
HAILEY, Wallace Jean "Redd" age 32, of Dayton departed this earthly life on Wednesday, June 24, 2009. He was born March 28, 1977 to Wallace Sr. and Georgia M. Hailey in Dayton, OH. Redd was a graduate of Colonel White High School, class of 1977. He was certified in Heating and Air Conditioning and owned his own landscaping business. He had a special love for cars, music and helping family and friends. Redd is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Winn Sr.; paternal grandmother, Donnelleda Hailey; aunt, Janet (Denny) Hailey and an uncle, Lonnie Charles Hailey. Survivors include (3) sons, Wallace Da'Redd, Wallace Da'Ronn and Wallace Da'Quan Hailey; (1) daughter, Vanity Ra'Jean Hailey; loving fiancé, Kenisha McCoy; (5) brothers, Demitrius Shawn (Shanel) Winn, Tobias Hailey, Jarvis, Javan and Jamie Hancock; (1) step-brother, Adrian Wilson; (3) sisters, Chinveal Nicole (DJ) Winn-Etheart, Amanda C. Patterson and Destiny Hailey-Gittens; maternal grandmother, Susie A. Winn; paternal grandfather, J. C. Hailey and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends, including a special friend/mother of three children, Ronisha Bailey. Funeral service 12:00 Noon WEDNESDAY, July 1, 2009 at REVIVAL CENTER MINISTRIES INT'L, 3011 Willie E. Mitchell Sr. Way (Oakridge Dr.), with Pastor Paul Mitchell, officiating. Viewing 9:00 A. M. Wednesday; the family will receive friends 11:00 A.M. until time of service. Interment will be held at West Memory Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to Thomas Funeral Home, 4520 Salem Ave. On line condolences may also be sent to the family at www.thomasfunerals.com

Hey bra its your day today Happy Birthday. Me, your big bra Smac, Messhilah, Shawnasia, and nephew Meatball miss you dearly. I went to school with Redd and he was always a nice, sweet, funny, and caring person. When I would see him out he would always speak and smile. He will be missed. You have my deepest sympathy. But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
