Anna Zuvich

Middletown - Anna Zuvich passed away peacefully surrounded by family in her home in Middletown, Delaware on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. She was 81.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, on December 24, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Amelia (Cavicchio) Sassany. Anna earned her high school diploma from West Catholic High School for Girls in 1957. She made her career as a secretary for DuPont, then retired after 20 years. Anna enjoyed playing pinochle, making ceramics, golfing, bowling and country line dancing. Most of all, she treasured spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her sister, Carrie Ciaramella. She is survived by her caring husband of 61 years, Anthony J. Zuvich; sons, John Zuvich (Lisa) of New Castle and Andrew Zuvich (Eva) of Newark; grandchildren, Christopher, Brooke (Matt), Ryan, Cady, Cody, Mia and great-grandchild, Ella Grace. She was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 am until 12 pm on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, followed by a memorial service at 12 pm. Face masks will be required for all in attendance. Inurnment will be held privately in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anna's memory to Delaware Hospice, 16 Polly Drummond Center, Second Floor, Newark, DE 19711.
