On July 4, 2008, at Christiana Care in Wilmington, our beautiful Bryana earned her angel wings and was granted her seat in heaven, where she will forever be a guardian angel to all who were blessed to have known her in the short 19 years she was here.
Bryana was a 2008 graduate of Delcastle High School with honors in Sheet Metal. She worked at Café Napoli, Quality Heating & Air and Delcastle night school. She loved shopping, listening to music, spending time at the beach, reading and hanging out with her many friends. She was fortunate to find true love at her young age with Jared, and spent the last few years sharing his heart. Family was very important to Bry, and although she worked three jobs, she continuously made time for her brothers. She absolutely loved being a big sister and cherished the moments with them. Bry was never afraid to stand out in a crowd. Her zest for life was amazing, making her wise beyond her years. She will not only be remembered for her beautiful smile and sparkling eyes, but her contagious laugh. Always a vivacious and positive spirit, she would brighten the lives of those she met with her fun-loving and full of life personality. She continues to touch all of us who knew her, and although we are truly blessed to have had her in our lives, the loss is incomprehensible.
She was predeceased by her grandmother, Elaine Neel and her uncle, Bobby Neel. Left to cherish her memory is her mother ,Catherine Neel Douglass and Dwayne McKay; her father, Edwin Rodriguez and Theresa Gibeck; stepmother, Vicki Rodriguez; and brothers, Logan Douglass and Cole and Seth Rodriguez. Bryana is also survived by her grandparents, Robert and Frances Neel, Andres and Angelina Rodriguez and Butch and Patricia Bailey; her aunts and uncles, John and Kim Neel, Michael Neel, Miriam and John Rizzo, Vivian and Anthony Rizzo, Iris Rodriguez, Andy and Cheryl Rodriguez, and Arlene Rodriguez and Doug Reppa, along with 14 beloved cousins and a host of close friends, including the love of her life, Jared Shupe.
Family and friends are invited to share in a celebration of Bryana's life on Friday, July 11 at 10:30 am at St. Margaret of Scotland Church, 2451 Frazer Road, Glasgow. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 10 from 6-9 pm at the DOHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for contributions to the Bryana Ryan Neel Medical Treatment Awareness Fund, which can be made at any Wilmington Trust branch. Online condolences may be sent to www.caringbridge.org/visit/bryananeel.
