Erin Lawes Obituary
Wilmington - Erin Lawes, age 55, of Wilmington, Delaware, died peacefully in her sleep on May 18, 2018, at home.
She graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1980. Erin worked at various jobs in retail until she found her calling at Bookland, where she stayed for many years, recommending books for children and their parents.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy Lawes, her sons, Padraic and his wife Julia, Liam and his fiancée, Ryan O'Donnell. She was the proud grandmother of Cameron and Eloise Lawes, who were the lights of her life. She is also survived by her parents, Dale and Jo Buckmaster, and her siblings Caitlin (Daniel) Lynam, Megan (Tom) Easter, and Padraic Buckmaster. Her nieces Clare Lynam and Deirdre Buckmaster will honor her memory as well. Also survived by her parents-in-law, Bernard and Patricia Lawes and numerous sisters- and brothers-in-law and their children.
A viewing will be held on Thursday May 24, 2018 from 6:00-8:00PM at Chandler Funeral Home, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 25, 2018 at 11:00AM at St. Mary Magdalen R.C. Church, 7 Sharpley Rd., Wilmington, DE, friends may call after 10:00AM at the church. Interment will be private.
