MARY SILL Obituary

Mary C. Sill

Mrs. Mary C. (Rigler) Sill, age 87 of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on Tuesday afternoon, March 22, 2005. She was surrounded by her loving family as she went to be with the Lord.

Mrs. Sill was born in Landenberg, PA on October 16, 1917, daughter of the late William and Lydia (Crossan) Rigler. A devoted and immaculate homemaker, she was employed as the cafeteria manager at Yorklyn School and retired in 1978 after 16 years of service. Mrs. Sill attended the adult daycare at Gilpin Hall, where she enjoyed doing crafts. She also enjoyed cooking, playing cards, trips to the Amish country in Lancaster, PA, and occasional visits to Delaware Park. She also loved Christmas and collecting Santas. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family, and her beautiful smile will be missed by all who knew her.

Her husband, Charles J. Sill, Sr., passed away in 1962; and her son, Ronald F. Sill, Sr., passed away in 1996. Mrs. Sill is survived by her children, Mary C. "Toots" Sill, with whom she lived; and Charles J. Sill, Jr.; her daughter-in-law, Mary H. Sill; and her grandchildren, Lisa M. "Sweet Pea" Sieg and her husband, Scott, and Ronald F. "Buzzy" Sill, Jr. and his wife, Victoria. She is also survived by her brother, Earl K. Rigler, Sr. and his wife, Alma; and her sisters, Helen Olivieri and Margaret Lore. She was also predeceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Church, 10 Old Church Rd., Greenville, on Tuesday morning, March 29, at 10:30. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Kennett Square, PA. Family and friends may call at the CHARLES P. ARCARO FUNERAL HOME, 2309 Lancaster Ave., Wilmington (opposite Cathedral Cemetery), on Monday evening, March 28, from 6:30-8:30, and Tuesday morning from 9-10.

Donations in Mrs. Sill's memory may be made to Emmanuel Dining Room, 121 N. Jackson St., Wilmington, DE 19805.
