MICHAEL PINGITORE Obituary
Age 49, of Newark, DE passed away on September 12, 2009 after a 2 year courageous battle with acute lymphocytic leukemia.
He retired from the US Postal Service in 2008 and was an Air Force veteran.
Michael is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lora W. Pingitore; 3 children, A.J. Pingitore (Christi), Andrew M. Pingitore (Jenna) , and Jillian A. Pingitore; 1 brother, Joseph D. Pingitore ; 3 sisters, Josie Parsons, Rosemary Mahala , and Jackie Forlino; and 5 grandchildren, Evan, Addyson, and triplets, Kennedy, Olivia, and Juliet.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the nurses on 6-B at Christiana Care for their excellent care and kindness they extended to Michael and his family.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 12 noon at the MCCRERY MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3710 Kirkwood Highway at Duncan Road where friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm. Interment will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Jillian Pingitore Education Fund, c/o PNC Bank, 100 Eden Circle, Bear, DE 19701.
