Tami Lynn Pingitore April 19, 1970 –November 28, 2024
With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Tami Lynn Pingitore, on Thursday November 28, 2024, aged 54, surrounded by her loving family. Tami was a cherished daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and loyal friend, whose kindness and warmth left a mark on all who knew her.
Born on April 19, 1970, in Amsterdam, NY, the daughter of Francis N. and Marlene Bull Pingitore. Tami made her grand entrance just before the wedding of one of her favorite uncles, Dennis & Donna Bull. She grew up in Amsterdam, attending school locally before venturing out to build a vibrant life in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In 1998, Tami became a part of the opening team at the Bellagio, working as a Pit Clerk. Her career later transitioned to the role of Restaurant Reservations Specialist for MGM Resorts International. Before leaving Las Vegas, she served as a Records Clerk with the Las Vegas Metro Police Department. Tami eventually returned to Amsterdam in 2008, drawn by her love for family and community. She continued her dedication to helping others through her work at St. Mary's Hospital.
Tami was known not only for her strong work ethic and professionalism but for her incredible generosity, selflessness, and genuine spirit. Her passions included music, enjoying live performances by her favorite local bands, family gatherings, holidays, and trips to Saratoga Racetrack. Whether sharing a good cocktail or offering an ear to someone in need, she had a unique way of making everyone feel valued and cared for. Tami's vibrant personality and enduring support of her loved ones will forever be remembered.
Tami is survived by her mother, Marlene Pingitore; her sister, Lori Pingitore; her aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Francis "Skippy" Pingitore, and her beloved German Shepherd, Sadie. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
Tami's legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering generosity will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday December 4, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Rose & Hughes Funeral Home, 200 Church St., Amsterdam followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00 PM at the funeral home with the Very Rev.
