Dear Louise and family
I am truely sorry to hear of the passing of Al. He was a great man and very talented in many ways. I feel very blessed to have known Al and work with him. Al was a very hard worker, he was a true leader and I always enjoyed his company. Listening to his stories about when he was a assistant principal and how he was a tough guy to the kids always brought laughter. He did mellow out and referred to himself as a marshmallow. I am very sorry to have missed his service. Heaven now has another special angel. I will truely miss Al.

Al was always a great neighbor to our family. He was always over to see if he could lend a hand, in any project that was in need of an extra hand. I remember the day, that I fell in front of my house, and he was the first person on the scene. His good heart will always be remembered. He even offered our oldest son a job, while he was in college. A lot of great memories, of a family that was led by a compassionate, loving father, grand father. May God Bless.

I met Al in 1968 when I was hired as a teacher at Haverford Township School District, He was my supervisor when I was a new math teacher in the Junior High. Al helped me develop the skills to be a teacher and eventually join the High School Math Faculty.
He took on many roles in the District and affected so many staff and students in positive ways. Even after completely a 42 year teaching career, I will always remember Al's support as he helped a rookie teacher, as I started my teaching career. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
