Betty May "Mimi" Glasgow

Betty “Mimi” May Glasgow, 88, of Broomall passed away peacefully on September 19th at her home surrounded by her family. Betty was born in Upper Darby, PA as one of the two children of the late Marie (Appler) and Earl Shaffer. She is survived by one sister; Marie Berrien as well as lifelong best friend, Dolores Meade. In 1948, Betty married Harry Glasgow and raised two children; Harry Glasgow and BJ (Glasgow) Bonner. Betty was a devoted secretary at Drexel Hill Middle school for over two decades and continued her secretarial work into retirement. She was also a faithful and lifelong member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Broomall, PA. Betty adored her 3 grandchildren; Kelsea (Allwoerden) DiFerdinando; Amanda (Allwoerden) Lyons and Nicholas Glasgow. Mimi’s 2 great grandchildren; Molly Margaret Lyons and Krista May Lyons were the light of her life. Betty leaves with us her love of the church, love of her family, and her beautiful spirit that we will cherish forever. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 7th at 12pm at Advent Lutheran Church; immediately following the regular Sunday 10:30am Church Service. Family and friends are invited to the regular church service followed by the Funeral Service at 12pm.
