Claire Campitelli Obituary

Claire I. Campitelli, 94, of Havertown, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Tel Hai Retirement Community in Honey Brook. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward A. Campitelli, with whom she shared 42 years of marriage prior to his passing in 1993. Born in Wilmington, Delaware, she was the daughter of the late Donato and Mary Calucci Minutella. Claire served as the President of the Havertown AARP in the late 1990’s. She was a wonderful cook, enjoyed traveling, was an avid reader and a welcoming presence to all who entered her home. Most of all, she was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her three children, Edward J. Campitelli and his wife Sally, Enrico M. Campitelli and his wife Kathleen and Melinda M. Williams and her husband Robert. She was also survived by six grandchildren, Michael Campitelli and his wife Lori, Enrico Campitelli, Kaitlin Campitelli, Christina Campitelli, Edward Campitelli (and his wife Rebekah) and Gregory Williams; three great grandchildren, Julian, Cara and Edward Greyson and by a host of nieces and nephews. Claire was predeceased by a brother, Fedele Minutella and by three sisters, Antoinette Giampetro, Edith Vitale and Ippolita Minutella. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in the Chapel at Tel Hai Retirement Community, 1200 Tel Hai Circle, Honey Brook, Pa 19344, where family and friends will be received from 1:30-2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tel Hai Care Assurance Fund at the above address.
