To the Mathis family, this was a big shock for us. Craig was with us so much he became part of the family. It's like we lost a family member. I can still see him tagging along with my Mom everywhere she went. Our prayers are with you, Linda. We found out late and could not be with you on this day. Will keep you in our prayers.

To the Mathis Family,
I would like to express our deepest condolences on your loss,Our family and the Mathis Family were two of the first AA's on 8th St.I remember vividly the nurturing care of his grandmother,Mamie Mathis, his uncles and aunts. Our Mom and his grandmom shared many family moments across the fence. A really great guy is gone. Craig was one of the first young friends I had who looked up to me and made me feel special. As I prospered in sports, education and employment, I will never forget Craig's smile and encouragement whenever I saw him.He was always smiling when he said my name. I felt a brotherly love and kindred spirit with Craig throughout his life. This is a shock to me. I know it's difficult that children do not outlive their parents. Linda, you have always represented strength to me. We have had similar backgrounds being raised by strong parents,close-knit families, neighbors who genuinely care about your well-being. I remember being blessed to speak at Carolyn's funeral on behalf of 8th St. She was a great person as well. No man knows the day or the hour when we will be called home. The Jackson Family grieves with you and rejoices also that Craig's journey on earth has ended but life eternal awaits him. No more pain or suffering. No more living up to the standards of this world. The Lord vindicates and erases our mistakes and our tears. I pray he will also do this for the children and the Mathis Family. May the Lord's grace and his mercy rest upon you and give you peace to endure. Love Dennis M Jackson Sr and Family.

I Sincerely Offer My Condolence: Craig's death has no doubt cast a shadow over you as you go about your daily life because death bring us face-to-face with the fact that he is gone too soon. His presence will be dearly missed. So despite the pain of grief, let it be your resolve to continue to work your way through pain and grief. The rich life that he led has left many memories. Times like this make us sad. But, there is "a time to weep". (Ecclesiastes 3:4) Yet you can have the hope of seeing your love one. Jesus said "Do not let your be troubled". (John 14:27) Sometimes we may feel paralyzed by a tragedy such as this. Remember: God can help you to endure any and every problem they may face. He will give the "power beyond what is nomal" to go from one day to the next. (2Corinthians 4:7)
