Charlotte and family, I'm so sad to hear of Dave's passing. He was so wonderful to come see my mom (Marge Backus) when she moved to the 2nd floor and welcome her. I'd often see him in the hall or at the whatever activity they had, always with a smile on his face and ready to talk. He will be missed.

Dear Dave and Janet, I am so very sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I always loved seeing him around Springfield because he was so nice and always happy to see everyone! All of the Holdsworth's are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May peace be with you as you celebrate the beautiful life he lived! God bless, Shelly Waltz-Morgan

So sorry to hear of your father's passing. I first came to know him and your mom in 2010 at Plush Mill. He had such a terrific sense of humor. He was very creative beyond his woodworking and canes. He did great clay work and painting. I heard many stories from him about life, and the need to enjoy it. I have many fond memories of Dave and will miss him.

I came to know the delightful Mr. Holdsworth as I visited my mother, a resident at Plush Mills, in 2011-2012. We shared stories of Penn State and Delaware County and we enjoyed hearing and seeing his cane collection. When I saw his photograph in today's paper, I was saddened to read about his death but I immediately smiled thinking about our pleasant conversations. He spoke of missing his wife but being grateful for his family. My mother and I often spoke of this gentleman and I trust that he enjoyed our talks as much as we enjoyed his company. I hope this is of some comfort to his family. My sincere sympathy is extended to them at this time. Joanne Rumsey Jenkins
