So sorry to hear of Jay's passing. His sister, Beverly, was my very best friend. I remember her telling me of her mom being pregnant with him, as well as his birth on May 12th, a birthday Jay and I share. He was always smiling and respectful. His Christian faith and work at Middletown Presbyterian were a source of pride to his family. Tommy/Karen, so shocked by this untimely death. My sympathy to the family.

Hi I'm Carl Baker proud to be 1st cousin of Jay Baker.I'm a longtime resident of Sarasota fl, grew up in Media pa. Where do I start with Jay, I am about 5 years older, always enjoyed the Baker family reunions used to see Jay there, we would swim , play touch football and eat a lot of great food. Jay grew up to be a great person, husband to Dawn and loving father to Andrew, Matthew and Emily. Jay was also very successful in banking, graduated from Widener University. My wife linda and I are so sorry for Jays passing , he left us at the Prime of his life he was way to young. He will be watching over all of us from heaven, especially watching Dawn, Andrew, Matthew and Emily he was a great Christian I was very proud to be his cousin.

We worked together in a small training group at Wells Fargo bank compliance. Jay was the life of the party. He had stories that made the sessions fun and enjoyable. So it was surprising and saddening to learn of Jay's passing. Janak Shah joins me in offering condolences to his family of whom he often spoke with love and humility. Rest in peace Jay..

Memories of Jay put a smile upon our faces, as we reflect on how Jay and his family interacted with ours over the years. Jay was a warm and caring Sunday School teacher, and a strong church leader who exemplified the love of Christ in all his relationships. From coaching to insurance planning, to being a devoted husband, loving father, and loyal friend, Jay will be missed dearly. Sheila, Matt, Katie and I send our sincere sympathies to the Bakers as we celebrate Jay’s life, a life well-lived and admired.

I graduated with Jay from Penncrest ('77) and always enjoyed his demeanor and kindness. He never had a bad word to say about anyone. In our yearbook he wrote, "I hope it's one of those days". That was Jay. See you again Jay.

Jay truly was one of the kindest guys in high school. Sharing homeroom because of our last names, I remember he listened to everyone, treated all with respect and was beautifully sincere. Being a widow myself, I share in your sorrow Dawn and wish you the comfort of God’s arms wrapped around you as you adjust to life without Jay.

Jon and I were shocked and ever so saddened to hear of Jay‘s sudden passing. He was such a kind, loving man who clearly loved his family to bits. To Dawn, Andrew, Matthew and Emily: may the love of your friends and family carry you. Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you all today and always.

As far as I'm concerned, Jay stayed the same since I first met him at Roosevelt Elementary School -- kind, caring, and a friend to all. He loved his community and his family and lived out his faith. Dawn and children, I am so saddened at his passing and will keep you in my prayers.

My deepest condolences to Dawn, Andrew, Matthew and Emily. What a great smile Jay had. Yes, he was a good man. kind, sweet, modest, truthful, funny. Dawn, you are all that too. I got to see Dawn and Jay smile at each other. I caught a glimpse a time or two of how they could just look at each other, and they knew what the other was thinking. These were really beautiful things to see. You rest easy Jay. We'll take care of your sweet girl.

The world has lost a good man and heaven has gained an angel.
Jay was respectful, kind, friendly and full of love. Jay and I were hired on the same day at his place of work and we instantly clicked. I grew-up in Africa and he had so much to share since he lived in Liberia.
My most profound memory of Jay is how he spoke very highly of his family, (His wife, daughter, his late father & mother, sons, his late brother and dogs). He carried with him his Bible and encouraged everyone with the word of God and faith; he never gave-up hope!
Jay always asked everyone for their names and wrote it down; he always said “Good Morning” and checked on everyone’s well been, he was very hardworking and willing to help. He carried his childhood memories of growing up in Liberia with pride and honor. He was a standard-up guy period!
My heart breaks but I know you are in a better place with your loved ones.
Till we meet again Jay!
To Baker’s family I am sending my deepest and sincere condolences to each one of you during this difficult time.
