John Edward Noone, 96 years old, of Springfield passed away peacefully on December 30, 2023. John was the son of the late Mary and Patrick Noone from Darby, PA. He graduated from West Catholic High School in 1945 and St. Joseph's College in 1952. John proudly served in the United States Army. John was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Springfield for 48 years. At his final residence, Riddle Village, John started the rosary club, poker club and was a member of the woodworking club and billiards team. He enjoyed spending time with his family throughout the years in Lake Harmony Estates. He loved to ski and hike with family and friends. John, a beacon of Catholic faith, curiosity, and charm, left an indelible mark of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He passed away peacefully, leaving behind cherished memories and an enduring legacy. His quest for knowledge knew no bounds, reflected in the countless books, newspapers, and magazines he read during his lifetime. His passion for learning and exploring the world around him was an inspiration to all who crossed his path. Yet, beyond his love for adventure, John's greatest treasures were found in moments spent with his beloved family and friends. His unwavering devotion to his wife, Claire, and those he held dear was a testament to his generous spirit and boundless love. Beloved husband of Claire; Loving Father to John (Nanette) Noone, Nancy (Vince) Nacrelli, Joseph (Karen) Noone, Lizabeth (Jack) Hamilton, Jennifer (Kevin) Diaz; Cherished Grandfather to Meghan, Daniel (Stephanie), Joseph, Kelly (William), Kirsten (Patrick), Devin, Jack and Ella. He is predeceased by his parents, brothers, Joseph and Vincent and his beloved wife Claire. Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Thursday, January 4, 2024 9:00AM, St. Francis of Assisi Church, 136 Saxer Ave, Springfield, PA 19064, and to his Funeral Mass 11:00AM in the Church.
