Nelson Bailey Obituary

Nelson Robert Bailey, 83 Of Lake Worth, FL, formerly of Glen Mills, PA Nelson Robert Bailey, 83, passed away December 21, 2012. Nelson was born September 21, 1929. He was the son of Gladys Calcara and Nelson S. Bailey. Nelson proudly served in the U.S. Navy and the Merchant Marines. Nelson retired from The Franklin Mint where he worked as a millwright for 24 years. He was an avid Eagles fan, loved fishing, Big Band music and spending time with family and friends. He was a wonderful father and grandpa and always made us laugh. Survivors: Son Nelson Bailey Jr. of Lake Worth, FL; daughter Dawn Bailey-Waco of Boynton Beach, FL; granddaughter Chelsea Waco of Boynton Beach, FL; 2 sisters Ruth Paul of Chucky, TN and Pat Bailey of Rising Sun, MD. Pre-deceased by the love of his life, his wife, Phyllis Bailey; his sister Mary Landino. The family will hold a private celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33407.

I worked with Nelson at the Franklin Mint from 1972 until 1989 he was liked by all who knew him and he could always make you laugh. May God rest his sole and my heart felt sympathy goes out to Nelson JR and the rest of the family.
