Rhonda LaGamba Obituary

Rhonda LaGamba (nee Hutchison), 67, of Ridley Park, Pa., and Boynton Beach, Fla., passed away suddenly on October 26, 2023. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Louis D. LaGamba. A Ridley High School graduate, Rhonda enjoyed a long affiliation with Taylor Hospital, starting as a candy striper in her teen years. After graduating Harcum College in 1994, she spent 25 years at the hospital as an occupational therapist. Rhonda served the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary for 22 years as a flotilla staff officer and a division officer. She was a devoted member of Ridley Park Presbyterian Church and served as a Deacon there since 2011. Rhonda was a remarkable woman, radiating beauty inside and out. She was a dedicated and loving wife, wonderful daughter, loving mother, beloved sister and committed grandmother and great grandmother. She was a fantastic aunt, an incredible sister-in-law and a devoted friend. She was dedicated to her family and friends, always being there for them and going the extra mile to ensure their happiness. She was always first to help anyone in need. She enjoyed time spent with family and friends, cooking for them and celebrating milestones or accomplishments in their lives. She loved spending time with family and friends on the boat or at the boat club. And no matter where she was, in her native Ridley Park or at her Florida vacation home, she remained a devoted fan of the Eagles and Phillies. Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Grey Hutchison and Verna (Uff) Hutchison. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Timothy DiGregorio, and her brother, Randy Hutchison (Bernie). She leaves grandchildren Joshua Stevens, Samantha, Sarah, and Robyn DiGregorio, nephews Joe Hutchison (Carolyn) and Joe Kracher (Amanda), and nieces Stacey Kracher and Emily Hutchison. A viewing will be held on Saturday November 4, 2023 from 9-11 a.m. at Ridley Park Presbyterian Church, 300 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, Pa., 19078. Church service will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory be made to the American Heart Association, or a charity that is dear to your heart.

I am so sorry to hear about Rhonda's passing. I was very shocked when I read it. I saw it last night on Facebook. She was such a kind, loving, and warm person. Our families go way back. We all grew up together on Henderson avenue in Ridley Park. Our family used to have crab parties in the summer with her grandmother Kate in our backyard at my house. Again, I am so sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family
