Ruth Benjamin Rhoads

1929-2016 Ruth “Sis” Benjamin Rhoads, age 86, died January 23, 2016 at her home in Linwood surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Trainer and was a resident of Linwood since 1964. Ruth graduated from Ridley High School in 1947 where she was very active with the music department. She retired from Penn Delco School District as a Secretary in 1994 where she had worked for 29 years. Ruth was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Business Sorority of Delaware County and Trainer United Methodist Church where she was active in the choir. She was also an avid gardener and enjoyed doing crafts. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Louise (Lauginiger) Benjamin, wife of the late William Rhoads (1963) and the late Patrick J. McHale (2001), sister of the late William, Robert, and Leon Benjamin, Mary McMaster, and Joan K. Fidale. SURVIVORS: 2 Sons: William J. Rhoads and David M. Rhoads. 2 Grandchildren: Victoria and Spencer Rhoads. VISITATION: Friday from 9:00-10:30am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home LTD., 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA.
