Steven and David were always teasing me as a kid and I wouldn't give those memories up for anything in the world. Steven was always smiling and laughing and that is how I will remember him. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Shield's family. Our families spent almost ten years living side by side and I think of you all as family.

To the Shield family. I just learned about Steven tonight while visiting my parents. On my way home Stairway to Heaven came on the radio and I started to cry. I recall how Steven enjoyed music and I would run into him from time to time at concerts. I am asking God to bring you all peace and comfort during this difficult time. RIP Steven!!

There aren't any words that can say how I'm feeling or the sorrow that fills my heart. Steven was a great guy who looked out for so many people and until his sickness still came and took care of my great aunts yard. She is 90 and he and his family lived next to her for so many years. They never forgot her or anybody for that matter. I'd like to thank him and his family for being such great people and friends. My thoughts and prayer go out to his Family and his many Friends.
