It has been a year since you passed, but our love for you will make your memory alive.

We will miss your laugh, your macaroni and cheese, and your delight in your grandchildren.

We cherish memories of family camping trips, picnicking at your pond and feeding your goats.

Meeting at your Revells Neck and Crab Island properties for fishing and crabbing. The many

family dinners for birthdays and holidays. And the numerous gathering just to play cards with

family and friends. You loved celebrations, especially your surprise 60th birthday at your son,

Mark's, house.

Barbara played on a women's semi-pro softball team in Eureka, Kansas when she met the love

of her life, Arnold Maner. They met on a train. Arnold was in the Navy and was returning on

shore leave to visit his family. Barbara was returning from an away game with her team.

Barbara convinced her parents to offer Arnold a ride home from the train station. This was

about 50 miles out of their way. Barbara and Arnold married just a few months later.

Barbara loved sports. She especially loved the Shorebirds, where she had season tickets on the

first row behind third base. She loved taking friends and family to the games. And she enjoyed

giving tickets to her friends and business associates.

Barbara grew up in a ranching family in Kansas. Barbara had a love for the outdoors and she

loved real estate. She owned and developed a large number of properties on the Eastern Shore

of Maryland.

Our mother Barbara was born and grew up in Bentley, Kansas. She was preceded in death by

her parents, Noel and Beulah Ramsey, and her brother Chris Ramsey. Her husband, Arnold

Maner, followed her in death on May 23, 2020. And later, her sister Betty Bayless, who died on

Dec 6, 2020. Barbara is survived by her son, Mark Maner and her daughter Kita Stephenson,

and three grandchildren Kate Stephenson, James Stephenson, and Nancy Maner.

Mark Maner and Kita Stephenson are planning for a memorial service for their beloved mother. They want the celebration of life to occur soon after it is save to have large gatherings.
