Erik Thomas Mezick

Fruitland, MD - Erik Thomas Mezick, 47 of Fruitland, MD swam his last lap on Earth and joined his Heavenly Father on December 29, 2020. Born on May 18, 1973 in Salisbury, MD he was a devoted son to Bicky and Henny Mezick and grandson to Frances Mezick.

Erik lived his life to the fullest and was passionate about anything that had an engine, especially his Mustangs. He was also very enthusiastic about exercise; to the point that he held the number one spot in the nation for the Espresso bike at the local YMCA. If Erik wasn't at the YMCA defending his title he was there swimming laps. Erik also had the passion of taking care of his Granny Frances.

Erik is survived by the love of his life Megan Barron Mezick and their two children Dylan and Hannah. He is also survived by his two brothers Adam (Kara) Mezick and Kevin (Nicole) Mezick and their sons Gage, Gavin and Damon. Also by in laws Tom and Anne Barron, brother in laws Tom (Dawn) Barron and Brian (Amy) Barron and sister in law Kelli Barron (Donnie) Scholl and numerous nieces and nephews.

Erik was preceded in death by his grandfather Wendell Mezick and grandparents Teunis and Klazina Veer and uncle Grady Mezick.

There is a Memorial Service scheduled for February 6, 2021 at 2 pm at Emmanuel Wesleyan Church, 217 Beaglin Park Drive, Salisbury, MD 21804. The family is asking that you come a few minutes early with memories of Erik so you can share them on memory cards that the family has prepared. He was a dedicated husband, father, son, brother and friend to all. And they would love to read all of the memories that you have of Erik.
