Joan Emerick Obituary
Sharptown - Joan M. Emerick, 86, of Sharptown, passed away on December 27, 2020 at Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. Born on January 31, 1934 to the late Joseph and Mary (Eastman) O'Malley.
Joan was US Navy veteran starting her naval career at the Bethesda Navy Hospital. She most recently worked for 20 years for MAC in Salisbury. Joan enjoyed antiquing, going to garage sales, watching birds and shopping. If it was new it was for her to buy.
She is survived by her daughter, Colleen (Jim) M. Chance-Judy of Sharptown, MD and two grandsons, Cullen Chance and Ryan Judy and her beloved dog, Cholo.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald J. Emerick who passed April of 2002.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 from 6 to 8 pm at Holloway Funeral Home PA, 501 Snow Hill Rd., Salisbury, MD 21804. A funeral service will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to MAC Inc. Area Agency on Aging, 909 Progress Circle, Salisbury, MD 21804.
