Dear Barbara

We all missed big Marc at our 50th MSC class reunion, hoping of course that he would be joining us for our 55th.I played right next to Marc on Mount Saint Charles's (not very good) football team. He was an incredible player and made All State in spite of the team. He was a memorable character with unique persona, gruff but with a big heart. I miss him

Dear Mrs. Beaubien, Marc and Sean
I am so very sorry to hear of Marcs passing. I am forever grateful to the "Big Guy" for all of the very positive life changing events that Marc had on me. With out Marc there would have been no college for me. When all others failed Marc succeeded. A real leader and forever one of my heroes.

Still in shock hearing the news of Marc's leaving us. He was such a breath of sunshine whenever you were in his presence. A fun, loving, caring and generous man. Barbara, our deepest sympathy to you and your family at this sad time. May your memories of the good times and knowing others have you in their hearts and prayers bring you some comfort. Barbara and Family,

When I installed your floors and the kitchen on Ebb Tide, I remember laughing all day long for two solid weeks at Marc's observations on life. More importantly, I was taken by his clear love of his family. He constantly talked of how proud he was of them all. One of the things that has stuck with me is a little line he had used about his grand children. He said, "I'm not going to spoil them, I'm just going to give them everything they want." That's a classic. I think of it often because at that time, My Hannah was just two, and I thought that is how I am going to try to raise her too- not spoiled, but with every opportunity I can give her. Many years earlier, when I was lucky enough to have been a bartender at McGees (now Shenanigans)I remember Marc being impressed by the bartenders at McGee's who could pour a beer without wasting any. I was glad I was on his good side then, too. Having a child late in life has kept me "out of the scene," so-to-speak, so I didn't get out much in the past twelve years. But once in awhile when I would run to you and Marc, it was always a pleasure to see you both. You always think think there will be time later on to see your friends. Often times, especially while riding through the Pines, I would think, "I oughtta drop in and say hello to the Beaubiens." But always seemingly pressed for time, I'd think "next time." I am very sad there was no next time. I am very saddened by the news, and like most people, I find it hard to believe Marc's no longer with us. I want your family to know how lucky they were to have You and Marc to anchor them. Fair winds and following seas to you all.

Sincerely, Frank Stolba and family

I recall that nearly 25 years ago playing soft ball for Worcester Beer in the Ocean City Leagues that beaming voice in the dugout supporting the team was none other than Mark. He could hit and field with the best of them...a natural athlete and great fun to be around. I'm sorry to hear of his passing and my prayers go to Barbara and family.
