Maxine Marie Hotchkiss Grant

Maxine Marie Hotchkiss Grant, was born 11 Mar 1945 in Green Bay, Wi departed this life on 24 June 2021 after a brief illness. She was the daughter of Rose Koscerski and Irving S. Hotchkiss. Maxine accepted Christ at an early age and enjoyed attending service when she could. Maxine grew up in Townsend, Wi. She attended Wabeno High School and graduated from Laona high school in 1963. After high school, Maxine attended the University of Wisconsin Madison. Maxine was employed with various companies over the years but was especially fond of her position as a teacher's assistant working with special needs children at Longview Elementary School in Phoenix, Az and running the After School programs for the city of Phoenix, Az. She also enjoyed working as a customer service representative for QVC in Chesapeake, Va until her retirement in 2012. In 2008 Maxine met the love of her life CWO4 Ray E. Grant USMCR (Ret) and the two were joined in holy matrimony in 2012. Maxine was a true Green Bay Packers Fan. She loved spending time with family, listening to music, dancing, cooking, baking, especially her renown dark chocolate brownies and lemon bars, traveling, gardening and showing everyone pictures of her family. Maxine always looked forward to trips to Kansas and Wisconsin for family visits. She was known for her "Awesome" Blue Eyes, loving spirit and infectious smile and saying whatever was on her mind and in her heart. She was preceded in death by: Her Mother Rose Hotchkiss, Father Irving Hotchkiss, Sister Aurelia R. Eckert, Brothers Thomas and Ervin Hotchkiss and a very special Niece, her God Daughter Nancy (Robert "Bob") Meurette. She leaves to cherish her memories: Husband CWO4 Ray E. Grant USMCR (Ret) Eden, Md; Daughter Monique (Daniel) Mitchell Maize, Ks; Brother Richard E. (friend Mary) Hotchkiss Sr Stratford, Wi; Sister Elaine (Matthew "Matt") Gitler Oak Creek, Wi; Step daughters Crystal Allen, Va Beach, Va and Gail Grant, Princess Anne, Md; Step son Ray E. Grant II, Va Beach, Va; Mother in Law Margaret Grant, Eden, Md; Father in Law Enos Grant, Newark, NJ; Brother in law William"Shawn" Tardy of York, Pa, Sisters in law Deborah Grant, Fruitland, Md; Kathy (John) Beckett, Princess Anne, Md, and Marva "Sherry" (Kirk) Sutherland, Newark, NJ; grandchildren Alexander, Carter and Kennedy. Step grandchildren Jordan (Casey), Jasmine, Elijah and Jaylin, one great step grandson Azariah; one uncle and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury, Md on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. and also in Stratford, Wi on August 14, 2021.

In lieu of gifts or flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Maxine's honor to the American Cancer Society.
