Barbara Rund Obituary
(Diringer)
Pittsford: Passed away November 29, 2016 at age 85. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Richard "Dick" Rund; children, Richard "Duff" (Susan) Rund, Marcia Bradley, Theodore "Ted" (Patricia) Rund, Brian (Catherine) Rund; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Ziegler, Judith (Gary) Smith, Connie (Bill) Buckley; brother-in-law, Joe Rizzo; nieces, nephews and many friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Sue Rizzo. Barbara and her husband, Dick owned Rund's Restaurant's for many years, she was an avid golfer, winning many club championships.
Family and friends are invited to call on FRIDAY, December 2nd from 4-7 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 3325 Winton Road South. Barbara's Funeral Mass will be held on SATURDAY, December 3rd at 9:30 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 534 Oxford Street. Interment, White Haven Memorial Park. Jo-Anna and I send condolences and love to Dick and his family at this time of loss. As Barb's slightly younger cousin, I have very fond childhood memories of the firm kindness of Barbara, the eldest sister, whose perspective was always greater than mine during the many family events we shared. To the entire family of Barb. When I first met "Mrs. Duff" (I wasn't allowed to call adults by their first names as she asked me to do) I was greeted by that lovely smile. I was sixteen. Duff's parents home was a home away from home, at least I thought so, we could relax and be our crazy selves. I suppose when you have a friend of 52 years, you collect a boat load of memories, and I do .Hope you all will have peace, recall the good memories and give each other strength through this difficult time. May God bless you all.
