He is survived by his wife, Edie (Williams) Linares; his daughter, Emmy (who he affectionately called "Tadpole"); his siblings: Vincent Linares, Kathaleen Linares, Patricia Ann (Ray, predeceased) Conrad, James (Deborah) Linares, and Susan (Jim) Rossillo. We were so sorry to hear about Christopher. While we didnt have many chances to spend time with him, I now know what a gift it was to spend time with you all at our Cousin reunion. Such a treat to share stories of our family and laugh together, with Christopher leading the way! Such a blessing that we had that opportunity. Our deepest sympathies from the other family of six Carros cousins. Sending you all our love.

May you rest in peace Chris... You will always be remembered by your fraternity Brothers at PKE especially when we hear our song (you co-wrote). "We are the Brothers of Rho Kappa Sigma......"

From all his old PKE fraternity brothers at CCSU, we send our heartfelt sympathies. We each have our favorite memories of the good times we spent with Chris, especially his love of singing oldies. Ziggy, as we called him, was such a decent and fun guy to be around, and no doubt remained someone you were glad to know. We certainly were all lucky to have known him.

Be strong.

The outstanding love from Emmy made it easy to comprehend her extraordinary Dad and family. His legacy will shine and live on through Emmy. Seems like all the love this family has, is given. That will last forever. Thanks to Chris and Edie for bringing Emmy into our lives. So glad my son Jonny got to know Chris. My condolences to a truly beautiful family.

I was very saddened to hear of Chris' passing. I hadn't seen him very much since our high school years but re-connected recently at our 50th class reunion. The conversation wasn't even mostly about high school but of our much earlier years and our memories of Sound View Beach when we were kids..... I ate many, many, dishes of my favorites......spaghetti and meatballs or shells and sausage at his grandparent's Hollywood Restaurant. We both worked at different times at the merry-go-round putting out the rings and then collecting them in a peach basket as riders tried to get the "Gold Ring" for a free ride...... When he wasn't working he'd generally be on the beach...up in the back just over to the Miami Beach side of the the Ocean Spray Restaurant......One of my most vivid memories of Chris around that time was at a Block Party that the Corsino's used to host at their place during the summer at Miami Beach... He got up and sang "Arrivaderci Roma" and brought the house down.....he was probably about 11 or 12 years old at the time. RIP Chris.

The twinkle of his eye and the smirk of his lip as he teased . His "is that right?' when you knew he was listening. The seriousness of his brow in contemplation and the humanity he understood and gave. Those who knew him appreciate the loss, those who didn't missed a wonderful person. He was my brother, my friend, my co-conspirator during our youth who how may be the first human to make St. Peter & God laugh out loud! With love, Ciao
