David Knill Obituary
Brighton: Suddenly on October 6, 2014 at age 53. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Rossen-Knill; sons, Ari and Joshua Knill; parents, Ronald and Barbara Knill; brother, Joseph (Kim) Knill; sister, Mary Knill (fiancé, Peter Janssens); mother-in-law, Selma and Jack Rossen; brothers-in-law, Michael (Kate Troast) Rossen and Barry (Lisa) Rossen; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
David was a Professor in the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences and in the Center for Visual Science at the University of Rochester. Deeply loved, he will be missed beyond words.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, 1-4, 6-8 PM at 111 Edgemoor Rd., Brighton and Shiva will be observed on Friday, 2:30-5:30 PM at 111 Edgemoor Rd., Brighton. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, 11:30 AM at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.). Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to Habitat for Humanity, 755 Culver Rd., Rochester, NY 14609. Deb, I was so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I only have great memories of getting to know you guys through youth soccer with Josh and Jesse. Dave was always a pleasure to talk with and I always smile when remembering meeting you guys while walking our dogs on Winton Road. My thoughts and sympathy with you and the boys.
