Dimitrio Marra Obituary
Spencerport: December 25, 2015 at age 74. Predeceased by his parents, Fortunato & Philomena Marra; sister, Rosemary Marra; brother, Fred Marra. He is survived by his girl, Angela Majchrzak; children, Michelle Marra, Christine Marra Gleisle, Peter (Amy) Marra; their mother, Patricia Gardner; grandchildren, Jerry & Morgan Gleisle, Sophia & Sydney Marra; several cousins in Olean, NY. Denny was a retired Lieutenant from the City Of Rochester Fire Dept. To light a candle of remembrance, visit www.alifecelebrated.com
Denny's visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 at the funeral home, 15 West Ave. Spencerport. Private service and Interment will be in Olean, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Hall School, 1612 Buffalo Rd. Rochester, NY 14624 in Denny's memory.

I am so very sorry to hear about Denny's passing and am so sorry that I didn't make it to his calling hours. I was shocked to hear about this over the holiday.
I have many fond memories of Denny, and considered him a friend and mentor.

Where can I start to tell you how much you meant to me. I will always remember our talks at my shop early in the morning before I opened and how you encouraged me to go for it all. So glad we got to talk over the summer, and you were the same funny, sarcastic Denny that I loved. You will always hold a special place in my heart. I love you my friend.

Heart felt sympathy for Dennys' family.Known him since the 1950's his parents and family lived next t us on water st in.olean,ny.
Denny taught me how to construct a real "igloo"with all the snow we use to get in olean..Will remember his wonderful personality always.

He was one of a kind. For 55 years that I can remember, he always made time for me. Michelle, Christine, Peter and family. I'm so sorry to hear about Denny, he worked with my Dad on the FD and we became friends through my Dad. I worked with Denny on many construction projects, he became a good friend to me and my family. I kept in touch with him over the years, in fact just talked to him a couple of weeks past. I know he will be dearly missed. I will never forget him. God bless his family.

My condolences to all of Denny's family and friends. He was certainly an individual you would never forget if you were close to him. He saved many lives as a fire fighter, started his own business, and was no shrinking violet on any issue. I will remember him as a warm, big hearted person that was fun to be with and earned your admiration with his bigger than life bravado. Hope to see him again in the afterlife.
