Hey Dad,
I know it’s been awhile, I know you won’t see this but maybe I feel deep down you will. I just wanted to let you know I miss you. I have three daughters now, Wynter, Aurelia, and Norah. The woman I’m with is really beautiful, she’s the love of my life, she has a awesome sense of humor. i always wished she met you, she would’ve loved who you are, I always talk about the fun times we had. I really wish they got the chance to meet you. I know they would’ve loved you, I never met any one else with your humor. I hope you are enjoying your next life. Just wanted to let you know, we’re all okay. We’re all safe, and thank you for looking over us. I miss you dad. I know we all do. I dream about you, and I’m know we will all see each other again.

Well, this was a suprise. I was looking to find a few old Army friends and came across this.
I served a couple years with Donovan at Fort Drum before we both went on to bigger and better.
I am saddened to hear of his passing - he was far too dynamic an individual to have left us so soon.
My thoughts are with Donovan's family and friends.
"Regulars By God", old friend.

I just heard of Donovans passing. I am stunned. I first met Donovan in the very early 80's where 6 or 7 of us grew up and were best of friends in Spencerport. He was full of life, always wanting to have fun hiking through the woods, swimming in the canal, and creating a little mischief with the group we had. I have thought of him every day since last seeing him more than 25 years ago every time I drive past his old house in Spencerport. I always wanted to look him up and catch up on old times and to see what kind of man he turned out to be. I will miss him very much and I know he is living happily in Heaven right now. We will all get the chance to see our friend again one day.
God Bless you Donovan.

I will forever cherish the times we had together. Our summers on Shelter Island as kids, our grown lives as adults. Donovan and I were car enthusiasts and he loved his BMW like I love my Porsche. He was an inspiration to my technical precision and his dedication to perfection was impressive.
We had a lot of fun times and I will remember these forever. I have lost a very special cousin. Too short, too soon.

I met Donovan in the late 90's when he was a boarder in my parent's house. He developed a relationship with my father, Ed Cadogan, playing cards, doing puzzles, watching movies and reading books of WW2 and eating Chinese. When Donovan left my father missed him so. Donovan came to visit about once a year. Then in 2008 I called Donovan let him know my father has cancer and is living in an assisted living facility. He immediately came to NY to see my father. During his visit with my father he asked if he could by my parents house when the time came. In December 2008 Donovan moved to Fairport and in the Spring of 2009 purchased the house. During the summer he did a lot of yard work to make room for his hop plants. He was proud of his plants and enjoyed making beer. He became part of our family.
Now he is in heaven with my father playing cards and doing puzzles with my father.
Donovan will be missed by all. My deepest condolences to his children and family.

My Dearest Donovan,
Your passing has left a hole in my heart, one that can't be filled.
I Miss You So Much.
I am glad that you were my nephew and I got to spoil you so much.
You were the cutest little boy and you grew up to be a handsome young man. The memories you left me with are so priceless. I will never forget your laugh, your wit, and most of all, I will never forget u.
I know you are with all the people that you loved and you are happy.
I will try to find solace knowing that I will see you agin some day.
Love You & Miss You

Donovan was first a colleague who later became a friend. At Xerox and Aventis we dealt with a lot of serious matters that seemed important then, but are very trivial now. Throughout he maintained a sense of humor and a matter-of-fact demeanor that helped us all keep the matters in proper perspective.
I consider myself lucky to have crossed paths with Donovan and will miss him a great deal. I will always remember him as my friend who left on Friday intending to buy a Hyundai and came back to work on Monday with a BMW. Classic D.
My deepest condolences to Donovan's family and his other friends who know how truly special he was.

Donovan made a deep and lasting impression on everyone he met: he was an open book, giving of himself freely to those around him. At work, he always inspired me to be better at what I do, and to enjoy it while doing it. He was a rarity among us, and will be sorely missed. My deepest sympathies to his family, friends and loved ones.

We shared each others life in brief encounters at Corvette speed events. He was the sterotypical eager to learn driver we all were when we discovered the world of driving at speed striving for that best run. He was like all of us, yet his own self. He will be missed by all that knew him. RIP Donovan.

Shock isn't the word for the impact of Donovan's passing. I don't know what is. He was one hell of a team player and a terrific asset in anything he took on. Lives lived in a manner worthy of respect are increasingly rare in these hectic modern times. Donovan led one nonetheless.

He will be sorely missed.

My sincerest condolences to Donovan’s family. When I first started with Bank of America 5 years ago, Donovan sat two cubes down from me. We spoke daily and he was one of my earliest mentors in the security industry. Once we realized our common interest in sports cars, our conversation quickly found a new home. I was sad to see him move back to NY, but glad he was closer to family. Donovan, you will be missed my friend.

My sincere sympathy to Donovan's family and friends. Donovan and I have worked together for more tha 5 years, but only in the last few years have we worked closely together. Donovan was always the person who could find the silver lining, or brighten up any discussion. He always had a story to add or a twist to a situtation that made the whole problem less burdensome. The world will be different without him.

My condolences to Donovan's family and friends. He worked for me at Bank of America for the last year and I've worked with him for 5 years prior to that. Donovan was an interesting guy and I always enjoyed talking to him. He always had a story to tell: be it working on his cars, remodeling his house or growing hops to make beer. The world will be a less interesting place with his passing.
