James Callerame Obituary
Webster - October 5, 2018 at age 61. Predeceased by his wife Laurie, parents, Lillian and Louis, sister, Lisa. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Deanna, several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends who Jimi considered his family, especially John Caceci, Jean Thomas, Mark "Mannix" Massare and Jack Cocilova. He worked for General Motors. His smile, perseverance, and positive attitude was an example for all of us.
Friends may call Monday 4-8PM at the Dierna Funeral Home, 2309 Culver Rd. (Near Norton). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday 10AM at Peace of Christ Parish at St. Ambrose Church. Entombment White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers those wishing may make contributions to the Shepherd Home (Penfield).

I will always remember a quote of Jim's, as told to me by Deanna. Even after being confined to a wheelchair and stricken with cancer, he was quoted saying "There's always someone who's got it worse." And from the handful of personal interactions I had with him, I would say this perfectly sums up the wonderful optimist he was. No matter the situation, he always saw the bright side, a trait I'm sure many will remember him by. Jim, you will be sincerely missed; you were such an inspiration to all the lives you touched, in a big way, or small. Rest in peace, and may those lucky enough to have known you, find it.

Jimmy was always one of the nicest people I ever knew. Always a gentleman, a genuine smile and a beautiful heart. I am glad that I got to see him on my last trip home. My sincere condolences to his daughter and family.

I will always remember you as a kind, loving father and husband and one of the bravest men I have ever known. You were a class act James Callarame and now you are back with your beautiful Laurie. Hard to understand why such challenges are put upon such good people, if you know the answers now that you are safely on the other side....pray tell because it is a mystery to me. Thank you for showing us all what class and grace are. We will miss you.:(
