It has been several years since JIM passed away. I do wish he had would have been with us long enough to see the successes we achieved with the business we built where his counsel proved to be so very helpful. I Am hopeful we would have made him proud with how we conducted ourselves.

You don't know me, I manage Fort Hill liquor Store near Strong Hospital. Jim bought a bottle of Sutter Home White Zinfandel every couple of weeks or so from us. I never knew his name, but was always impressed with what a great personality he had. When I saw his picture in the obituaries I had to cry. He seemed like he was a wonderful man and a great friend. He always lifted my spirits when he came in. I am sorry for your loss.

Throughout a lifetime memories will never leave the mind. Our teenage years, flipping like a thick book living as neighbors for over a decade, sharing in the births of all our children, our girls 25 years later still like sisters. The endless days, years ...... Changing, growing, swearing, caring. Particularly our infamous deck parties, Jim's stories and booming voice carrying late through the night, our laughter heard by many. We will all never forget. I am so sorry. A bear hug from Jim is a hug always remembered...

To the LaTona Family: My heartfelt thoughts and prayers to you and your loved ones. I first met Joe working for Mike Barnard Chevrolet in the 80's. We clicked right off the bat. Most of our relationship was on the business side. We would get together each year and some times in between for taxes and other business related issues. Every visit and phone conversation was positive and proactive. We always spoke about each others families. What a great guy. “Life without God is like an unsharpened pencil. It has no point!” We know that Jim is in good hands. I will miss Jim.

Karen and Family,,
After hearing the sad news about Jim, John and I reminised about the olden days! There were many hours spent on the ball field that produced fond memories to cherish. It is those moments that bring value to ones life. The messages in this guest book are a marvelous testimony of the great character that Jim had. He made a difference in others lives. He touched people and left his mark. John and I pray for your comfort during this time of great heartache. I pray that you will trust in the LORD and he will direct your path.
God Bless,

Not everyone can say they lived a fulfilling life. Your smile and kindness brightened more lives than you will ever know. Your life may not have been long and this world is short a truly good man now, but you definitely put effort and love into every moment you were here. For that you will always be remembered. Let us not focus on the grief we feel but rather the blessing to have known such an amazing person. Even if it was brief.

The true measure of one's life is not measured in the number of breaths we take, but by the number of people we positively touch along lifes journey.

Jim's legacy will be one that the number of people he touched positively during life's journey, far out weighed the time he was with us.
