Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. Proverbs 27:17 (KJV). Luis was a master iron sharpener. We knew each other at FBBC for years, but it was really in the last six years, that a deeper friendship grew. Luis was a quiet, humble, patient, kind man. He was a wise man, a very wise man. Jesus Christ was the most important thing to him. Thus, a conversation with him was always an iron sharpening experience. They were uplifting, doctrinally sound, and convicting conversations. Iron chips and finer iron dust came off during such conversations, and one came away feeling thoroughly honed. I miss my friend, but not as one gone forever.

I knew Luis to be very sweet and kind. I am praying for Darla and the family. God is touched by what touches you right now. He cares deeply for you. May you all receive His love and peace and strength ❣

I will surely miss Luis. He was an uncle to me. I have nothing in my memories that has anything but love and reverence. We would often talk about Rochester and it's restaurants. We found out that we worked in many of the same places. Whenever I got a new job he would tell me when he worked there. The talk of culanary between us is endless. And he will be with me until it is my turn to sit at our Lord and saviors feet. Even though many of his words seemed short and soft. They weighed heavy on me. Luis was a beautiful man,and I will surely miss him. No my prayers are with his family. And I also pray for comfort in this time of morning and also this time of rejoice for his beloved Darka.

Praying for Luis' family, especially his wife, Darka. I remember how kind and soft spoken Luis was when I saw him at FBBC. He is with his Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ now and for that, I am very thankful. God bless his Family with the Peace & Comfort that comes only from our Saviour. "Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied." Jude 1:2
