To the entire Albano Family-
On behalf of the Rochester District Umpires Association Officers, Board of Directors and entire membership, I extend our sincere condolences on Rick's passing. As a long time varsity official with our organization, he will be greatly missed in that regard. But, he will be more deeply missed as a friend to many of our veteran umpires.

Dear Albano Family, it was quite a shock to hear of Rick's passing. We saw him often at the volleyball games at Springfield College where we all would gather to cheer our boys on to victory. What a wonderful man he was and our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time.

To Pauline, Nancy J. and Janice, and to Nancy L, Rick, and Chris and families:
We never realized how much a birthday party (Pauline's) two years ago could do to bring family and friends together that had been away for too long.
Even after over 20 years of not seeing Ricky (Rick) it was so easy to remember him instantly. His great sense of humor and endless funny stories brought memories back quickly. It was wonderful to get to know his family Nancy, Rick and Chris in numerous stories during that short time. He was so proud of each of you and you knew that in just a few minutes.
To all of you, our hearts hurt with you. We keep you in our prayers.

I grew up with Rick in the ‘60’s and ‘70’s. We attended grammar school - IHM, and high school – Bishop Turner together. Grammar school summers have the strongest memories – playing baseball behind PS 85 with the neighborhood guys – from dawn to dusk. No-one used their real names – we all had nick names. Fall / winter time was touch football games. In high school, Rick was one of 3 to 6 of us who always met up, to walk to school every day (before our driver’s license and first car). We shared a lot of growing up experiences during all those years. For these and many more memories, I will remember Rick. I offer my sympathy to Nancy, Ricky, and Chris.

Nancy, Rick, Chris,
Rick Albano was a friend to all. No matter the circumstances, Rick was always willing to go above and beyond. We worked side-by-side at the SUNY Brockport Ice Arena - he was a valued co-worker, but more importantly...a great friend. We played Sunday night hockey together, and we shared stories as our children grew. He could not be more proud than to share recent sports accomplishments from 'the boys' or tell of his love for Nancy. I will dearly miss Rick as a friend. The Grady Family has you in their thoughts and prayers.

To the Albano family:
I knew Rick many years ago when he was a manager at Perkins and was shocked when another former co-worker told me of his passing.
I'll always remember him as a really nice guy and one of my favorite managers from that time. My deepest sympathies are with you during this difficult time.

Nancy, Ricky and Chris Just wanted to send you my prayers in your great loss. Rick was such a huge force. He was witty, fun to be with, very passionate about his family and life. I have so many fond memories of Rick through the Spencerport Sports Booster Club. Rick was always there when someone needed his help.

To the Family, my deepest heartfelt sympathies.
I was priviledged to join in and know Rick through the annual old Buffalo gang summer fishing trips to Georgian Bay, Ontario, Canada. Rick's humorous storytelling of events at work, baseball refereeing, his jokes, his ribbing, and friendliness were a big part of the fun on the trips. Rick's pride was his family and I remember the time when proudly he spoke of being able to spend time with Nancy and the boys, out west for vacation and taking in a professional baseball game.
May his memory be eternal.

Rick, You will always be my special friend. From the time that you arrived at /Genesee Country Village and Museum we always had a goal in common that was to make that day at the museum the best that we could make it. I miss you but not as much as your wife, Nancy and the boys and the family. Go in peace.

To the family:
I knew Rick way back when he lived on Gail Ave in Buffalo--we were childhood friends. I hadn't seen Rick in many years, yet I was still saddened to hear of his passing. As you may know, he wasn't the fastest guy you ever saw, so we (the neighborhood kids) nic-named him peg-leg or wooden leg. Eventually, it was just shortened to "woody". That nic-name really stuck--I wonder if he still used it? You have my sympathies. I want you to know that even though we teased him--we really liked him a lot. God bless. Rick Leggio

Our thoughts, and prayers go out to You: Nancy, Rick, and Chris.
I will always remember Rick, as a true friend, and a Loving Man. He brought joy and happiness to all He came in contact with. He was not a person who would sit on the sidelines, and taught Us all that the only way things get done ,is if We pitch in and help do them. His concern for others was something We can all take a lesson from.He will be truly missed. I witnessed the type of Person Rick was first hand, and in times of personal need, He was a true Friend. His devotion to the Community was unmatched, and His ability to make others laugh is something I will always remember.
MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND, AND GRANT YOU ETERNAL PEACE MY FRIEND!!

I worked with Rick at the Museum for a few years and he was one of my favorite people. He was so honest, so optimistic and so quick to laugh. That is what I'll remember about him - no matter what the situation, Rick found a reason for a laugh, and made everyone around him a little happier as well.
My thoughts are with the family.

Nancy, Ricky, and Chris,
I am so very sorry to hear about Rick. I wish there were words to say to make things better but I know at a time like this there are not…Remember all the good times you had together, all the memories, all the laughs, all the tears. They will help you these next couple of months. Ricky and Chris always remember how lucky you are to have had such a great father! Time will help, stay especially close to each other now, take care of your mom (she’s going to need you guys) and make sure you appreciate each day, your dad would want you to. Please know that I’ll be thinking of you guys.

To the Albano Family. Our heartfelt sympathies for your loss. I worked with Rick at Perk for many years. He surely knew how to live life and make the most of any situation. He was a true professional in every sense but also knew how to have a good time and make others feel good about themselves. He had a very kind heart and was always looking out for the other person. He touched many hearts in his short life.
Sincerely, Jean and Howard Merle - Green Valley, Arizona

Dear Nancy, Ricky, and Chris,
I am so very sorry to learn of Rick’s passing. The world is a less joyful place now as all of us who knew and loved him try to imagine it without him. Rick was in the middle of everything good at Genesee Country Museum. There was never a meeting, a project, or a base ball game that wasn’t more fun or better executed because of his involvement. His hard work, his willingness to help everybody and anybody, his incredible sense of humor, and his extraordinary kindness were unequaled.
As terrific as he was to us, what really distinguished Rick was his total love for you and the pride he took in your accomplishments. He talked about you every day, and it was clear that you were the most important things in his life.
My heart goes out to you, and I hope that the love and support coming your way from all the people that Rick touched will help you through these very difficult times.
With sincerest sympathy,
Betsy Harrison
